Key West Conchs fired up the offense in the second inning, when Bastyan Hernandez’s wild pitch allowed one run to score for Key West Conchs.
Key West Conchs pulled away for good with three runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Logan Pellecier singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run, Hernandez induced Landon Lowe to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored, and Hernandez induced Michael Mayor to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored.
Andrew Karch took the win for Key West Conchs. He allowed four hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out ten and walking zero.
Hernandez took the loss for Mater Lakes Academy. He allowed four hits and four runs over four innings, striking out five.
Key West Conchs racked up four hits on the day. Antonio Knowles and Pellecier each racked up multiple hits for Key West Conchs. Pellecier and Knowles each collected two hits to lead Key West Conchs.
